Iran Nuke Fantasy Gets Boost From Gallup Poll

Well, 99% of American think the Iran nuke fantasy is instead real and of that number 83% believe that it is a critical threat to our interests now, according to a recent Gallup poll.

Amazing, when reports by government and federal intelligence agencies, with exception of the White House and like groups, say that Iran does not have a nuclear device, has not had anything like a construction or assembly area for one since back in 2003, and is not developing one now.

The White House, including President Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, as well as other heads of state, including the Israeli Foreign Minister, claim the Iran has or very shortly will have a nuclear weapon and must be halted in their plans to  have one now.

Obama, former president Bush, Jr., and the Israeli Foreign Minister have been playing this tune for over ten years now.

And who do the American people believe is correct is their assessment?  Of course, the president and other major world leaders, right?

No, wrong!  Amazing the degree of influence the major television news networks have in forming the opinions of the American people.  The networks say it’s the president, and he must be right.  No, wrong!

It looks like years of non-stop propaganda may soon bear fruit. According to a recent Gallup poll, a staggering 99 percent of Americans believe Iran’s nuclear program is a threat to the United States.

99 percent believe Iran’s nuclear program poses a threat “to the vital interests of the United States in the next 10 years,” the poll states. 83% said it was a “critical threat” and another 16% said it was an “important, [but] not critical” threat. Just 1% didn’t consider Iran a threat.

The poll results reveal how effective years of non-stop propaganda against Iran has been. The new poll will embolden the neocons in the United States and the Likudniks in Israel and encourage new calls for the United States to attack Iran.

Under the terms of the 1968 Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, Iran has the right to produce nuclear power for peaceful purposes. The United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency has found no evidence Iran is developing a nuclear weapons program and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told Face the Nation in January that Iran is not currently building a nuclear weapon.

The intelligence community released a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) in 2007 indicating Iran does not have a nuclear weapons program. “We judge with high confidence that in fall 2003, Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program,” the NIE stated. “We assess with moderate confidence Tehran had not restarted its nuclear weapons program as of mid-2007.”

“Although Iran continues to enrich uranium at low levels, U.S. officials say they have not seen evidence that has caused them to significantly revise” the conclusions reached in the NIE, the Los Angeles Times reported on February 23.

In November of 2011 an IAEA report failed to indicate Iran has a nuclear weapons program.

“In its February 2012 report, the IAEA confirmed for the umpteenth time that there was no diversion of nuclear material from” its 15 nuclear facilities, including its uranium enrichment plants at Natanz and Fordow, writes David Morrison.

In 2011 it was reported by the United States Institute of Peace and others that Iran was having problems with its nuclear program. In addition to fending off U.S. and Israeli cyber attacks, persistent sabotage of its nuclear facilities and the assassination of its scientists, Iran is finding it difficult to obtain essential parts on the international market and until recently had issues with its centrifuges.

In January, the International Atomic Energy Agency officially confirmed that Iran had started enriching uranium to the 20-percent level. “The IAEA can confirm that Iran has started the production of uranium enriched up to 20 percent using IR-1 centrifuges in the Fordo Fuel Enrichment Plant,” the agency said in a statement,” RIA Novosti reported.

20 percent uranium enrichment is a long way off from more than 90 percent, the amount required to make an atomic weapon.

“Despite mixed signals from Iran and intelligence claims that it is not seeking a bomb, the real reason the neocon faction of the global cabal continue to harp their bomb Iran mantra has nothing to do with nukes – it has to do with the perception that Iran is too big for its britches and wields to much influence in the neighborhood, especially over contentious Shiites (in particular Hezbollah in Lebanon),” we wrote in February.

Attacking Iran remains a key objective for the global elite. In January we reported comments made by the globalist kingpin, renowned war criminal and Rockefeller co-conspirator Henry Kissinger at the economic confab held at Davos, Switzerland.

“There has emerged in the region, the current and most urgent issue of nuclear proliferation. For 15 years, the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council have declared that a nuclear Iran is unacceptable, but it has been approaching,” Kissinger said.

He then said governments will “come to a determination of how to react, or the consequences of non-reaction… [in] a few years.”

In November, Kissinger said the U.S. has a “limited time” to negotiate with Iran before military action will be taken against its nuclear program, although he did not address Iran’s inability to produce weapons grade uranium.

The Gallup poll establishes another milestone for the global elite as they work to drum up consensus for an attack on Iran. Gaining public support for unprovoked and illegal attacks on sovereign nations is a relatively easy affair over the long term, as the experience with the invasion of Iraq shows. Iraq never had weapons of mass destruction, as the neocons, the Bush administration, and a malleable establishment media claimed.
